Who We Are
SARAH
FOUNDER / HEAD COACH
Sarah is a Level 2 England Netball Coach, who also coaches at a local top independent girls high school. She started her passion for netball at school and played at County level before taking a break from the sport to focus on her career as a Personal Trainer, specialising in strength and conditioning. She is a natural athlete having also performed nationally in athletics and more recently training and participating on the White-Collar Boxing scene. They don’t call her Boom Boom Bown for nothing!
Sarah is extremely passionate about girls and sport and this was her main reason for starting a netball club. She wanted to create a warm, safe and fun environment for girls to enjoy netball and develop healthy relationships with exercise. She wants girls to feel empowered, confident and excited about sport and with her friendly, smiley and excitable exterior she really does bring out the best in people. The retention at the club is almost 100% and that is down to the energy and enthusiasm she brings to each class. As a mum of 3 young children, Sarah brings a kind and caring touch to the classes to ensure each child leaves smiling and loving netball. She even gives the girls hand warmers and hot chocolates in winter to ensure their happiness at holiday camps!
TARA
COACH
Tara is a young ambitious PE teacher with a real love for netball! She worked herself through the national performance netball pathway from the age of 12 all the way up to being an u21 player and super league training associate. Tara will be joining Putney High in September 2022.
Having played at two super league franchises and the very successful university of Hertfordshire netball team, Tara has played with and against some of the best up and coming players in the netball world! Aside from netball Tara is a keen dodgeball player! Getting a silver medal at the European championships was a great achievement, but playing doctor dodgeball at Boom Boom Netball is definitely the highlight of her dodgeball career!
AMY
COACH
Amy grew up playing a variety of sports in the US. She played basketball, ran hurdles in track and field and was a competitive cheerleader for 6 years. Upon moving to England, she was introduced to netball by Sarah and developed a fondness for the sport. She has since become a Level 1 certified England netball coach. Amy believes sport is an integral part of life from childhood through to adulthood and loves that she can share her enthusiasm with the next generation.
